E-Waste Disposal Bin School Roll Out Programme

St John’s College has launched an e-waste collection programme, in partnership with Miss Earth SA.

E-waste is anything that has an electric plug that is of no further use to you, ie printers, m-net decoders, kettles, cell phones, etc. A large green bin with Miss Earth SA branding has been placed in the school’s waste management area known as “the nursery” – opposite the Music Centre, cor Pine St and St David Rd.

Please make use of this facility to dispose of your unused electronic equipment.

  • Cell Phones and Cell Phone Charges
  • Appliances–Kettles/ Washing machines/ Heaters/ Vacuum cleaners
  • Television Sets / TV Controls
  • DVD players/ Play Stations/ Game Boys/ iPod/ Ear phones
  • Computers/ Keyboards / Computer Screens
  • Computer Accessories; mouse, speakers; cords; plugs
  • Battery Packs for Cell phone/ Camera or Computers
  • Printers / Radio’s
  • Broken Cords or Plugs
  • Telephones / Telephone cords
  • Mainframe Equipment
