» Fourth DAY OF PLAY REPORT – 4 SEPTEMBER 2010

The final day of play continued to produce good  golf as the young competitors maintained an exceptionally high standard of play and concentration on the Gary Payer Country Club.

Scoring  was individual stableford, with the best three scores to count for the team total. As the players got to know each other better over the four days of play, the standard of sportsmanship and camaraderie increased.

The leader board saw exciting movement as Paul Roos Gymnasium  retained their lead with a score of 346 and TUKS Sport High School following in 2nd position with 329 points. Hoërskool Outeniqua dropped from 2nd to 3rd position (324) whilst St John’s Harare climbed three notches to 4th position with 320 points. Cornwall Hill and St Stithians Boys’ College ended in a tie for 5th place with 319 points.

Best score of the day, with 4 under par, was Marco Loubser (68) from TUKS Sport High School, which is a Tournament record.
