St John’s College, in proud association with First National Bank, will be hosting twelve top schoolboy rugby sides at our 15th Easter Rugby Festival where six games will be contested over three days of play. The twelve top schoolboy rugby sides scheduled to play on 1, 3 and 5 April 2010 are:
Teams from the following ten Preparatory schools will play four games with teams either playing two games on Saturday or Monday, prior to the 1st XV games:
The objectives of the Festival remain essentially true to those of the founding Festival in 1996:
A portion of proceeds of the Festival are applied to internal sports development with a specific three-year commitment to support the sporting development at Masibambane College. A 60% allocation of the uncommited surplus from the festival is dedicated to specific projects. In 2009 this contribution went towards leveling the sports field at Masibambane College which HSBC completed by grassing the field, as part of their sponsorship of the British and Irish Lions tour.
