Geography Department
Geography seeks to apply knowledge, skills and techniques for the understanding and appreciation of the environment in which we live. There is a new emphasis on both the physical and human processes and how these impact and modify our fragile environs. Responsible citizenship is fostered through an awareness of the inter-dependence of society, nature and the urban environment.

Geography is an important subject in that it encompasses and unites scientific, mathematical and language skills. Boys are taught an appreciation of the sustainable use of the environment in which they live. Skills such as reading, interpreting, drawing skills and the translating of data and mapped information into the written word are taught.

We incorporate modern teaching techniques and technologies alongside formal teaching practises. All forms of media are constantly used for articles on current world events to encourage the awareness of consequences through higher order thinking. The application and implementation of geography is constantly being revised.
