Rain Procedure
  • In the event of rain, matches and practices will only be cancelled at 12h00 on the day of the event. Please do not phone the school secretary prior to 12h00 as she will not be able to give you an answer.
  • If there is rain prior to the start of a practice and the practice is cancelled, boys may go home with their parents. Boys that cannot be picked up by parents will be supervised by their coaches in the classrooms, where they will deal with theoretical aspects of the game, the laws, scoring, field placing etc., or watch cricket coaching videos.
  • Our coaches are instructed to remove players from the fields if there is any threat of lightning, and this may often disrupt a match or practice, but will not necessarily mean the abandonment of the match or practice.
  • In the case of Saturday morning fixtures, you will be notified by 07h30 of that morning or you may phone Dave Odgers (082 601 8448). Should you not hear anything from your coach or team mate, arrive at the venue as normal, half an hour before start of play.
  • Matches and practices will not easily be cancelled as we feel that the boys must get every possible opportunity to play.
