St John‘s will be hosting the following Basketball tournaments in February 2011:
- U16 Basketball tournament – 12 participating teams: 18 to 20 February

We are very excited about these Basketball Tournaments and appeal to you and your parents to assist in ensuring that these events are efficiently hosted. Our aim is to establish these Tournaments as permanent fixtures in schools’ Basketball calendars and invite you to be part of the procedure!
We’re calling for assistance in various ways such as:- Attending the games to support the St John’s teams, creating a great spirit at the tournaments
- Help with the running of the Tuckshop at the Tournaments where hot food, cold drinks, snacks and airtime will be sold. Funds raised from sales will assist in funding the shortfall of various expenses such as sourcing first-class referees, accommodation and catering for all participants
- Donations / Sponsorship:
- A wonderful opportunity for a Major sponsor to come on board at the ground level. We anticipate that the Tournaments will gain momentum and recognition year by year
- Welcome functions for staff/coaches
- Items for “goodie bags” to be presented to participating team members. Suggested items include snacks, cold drinks, bottled water, sunscreen, deodorant etc. If any of your family have contacts to assist with donations, please ask them for their assistance
