The St John’s College annual 16th Rugby Festival proved yet again to be a huge success. The third day of play was blessed with superb weather which unfortunately was not the case over the first two days of play.

The standard of play thought the weekend was of a high quality, with both teams and players continually raising the bar and standard of play. The skill level of teams is improving year by year and the professionalism produced on the field by all teams is a credit to the schools they represent. Unfortunately there were a number of mismatches throughout the weekend due to teams not having settled teams yet at the beging of the rugby season. However, there were some fantastic contest throughout the weekend between Paul Roos and Affies,  Millfield and Paarl Boys and the FNB team who won all three of their games over the weekend.

In conclusion, we would once again like to acknowledge all twelve teams for their part in the Festival as well as First National Bank who will be sadly not be with us next year. Their support is greatly appreciated and they will be sorely missed.
