Cleo Socikwa is an entrepreneur and businesswoman with more than 25 years experience gained in various professional capacities. She started her career as a graduate trainee at BP South Africa in Cape Town and later identified an opportunity in FMCG logistics and co-founded and managed a distribution and marketing company in the Eastern and Western Cape for five years.
She joined SA Breweries in Operations in 1993, implementing a smart-card pilot project nationally and two years later, as corporate relations manager, helped SAB respond to a call for public-private partnerships by launching its flagship entrepreneurship development programme.
In 2000, Cleo joined the SA Reserve Bank as head of communication and went on to establish an investment company, CGS Holdings Pty Ltd, in 2004.
Cleo, who has had extensive executive training, locally and internationally, serves on the boards of several companies, one of which she currently chairs.
