Scholarships and bursaries
A number of merit-based scholarships are offered to talented boys entering Grade 8 each year. These scholarships range in value up to 100% of the school fees.

Pupils attend the scholarship examinations by the Headmaster’s invitation only.

To apply for a scholarship, a detailed CV together with the pupil’s latest report should be faxed to:

» Academic scholarships
Candidates must have achieved an aggregate of at least 80% in Primary school. Closing date for applications is during the first week of March each year.


» Music scholarships
To qualify candidates need to play an instrument at Grade three level. The cosing date for applications is during the first week of March each year.


» Sport scholarships
This scholarship requires candidates who represent a sport at Provincial or First team level. Applications must be in before the end of March each year.


» Centenary scholarships
Centenary scholarships are for previously disadvantaged students of outstanding academic ability. These scholarships are based on the candidate’s school record and performance in the scholarship examination. Candidates need to provide a headmaster’s letter attesting to the student’s exceptional academic record, as well as evidence of leadership potential. The entrance test is written during the first week of March each year.
