St John’s College seeks to appoint a suitably qualified university graduate to the academic staff who will take on the responsibility of a day boy HOUSE MASTER in charge of ‘Clarke House’, one of the eight houses, consisting of 80 boys.
» SENIOR HOUSE MASTER
A minimum of five years experience in running a boarding house or day boy house is essential. This person will have the responsibility of being a housemaster of one of the eight houses at St John’s College.
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team of eight housemasters and will serve on the executive.
This responsibility also includes those of a housemaster as described above.
» HEAD OF DEPARTMENT: LATIN
St John’s College seeks to appoint a dynamic, experienced graduate to teach Latin. Ability to offer a second teaching subject to matric will be essential. We are looking for a person who is both creative and academically rigorous.
» SCIENCE TEACHER
St John’s College seeks to appoint a dynamic experienced graduate to teach science from Grade 8 to 12. Experience in teaching Cambridge A-Level Chemistry will be an advantage.
» SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
St John’s College seeks to appoint an experienced registered psychologist to service the counselling needs of the St John’s community from January 2011. Experience of counselling in a school environment is essential.
