As our uniform is an important identifying symbol of our school, we urge you to ensure that your son wears it correctly and with pride at all times, but especially when out in public. Please support us in seeing that he leaves home and school looking neat and smart. All items of clothing need to be clearly marked.
Grade One and Grade Two boys wear caps and blazers to and from school every day. Blue hats are compulsory for all outdoor activities. Our rule is: “No hat at school today. Sorry chaps – no outdoor play.”
Grade 0
Summer
- Regulation khaki shirt and khaki shorts
- School jersey
- Brown sandals (not “slip-ons”)
- Black school shoes and socks
- Navy blue raincoat to fit into satchel
- “Floppy” blue school hat for all outdoor activities
Winter
- As above (except with school socks and shoes)
- Full school tracksuit to be worn when cold enough
- Black school shoes and school socks
Sport
- Tackies with as much white as possible, required for morning PE lessons and afternoon sport activities
- Regulation school house t-shirt and “football” shirt and shorts – purchased from the school shop
- Regulation blue-and-maroon school speedo swimming costume and towel in their rucksack tog bag or UV suit in school colours ordered through the Pre-Prep office
Boys are required to wear the school “football” shirt and shorts for all after school sport held at school including ITA tennis, Gym Kidz, etc.

The School Shop
The School Shop is in the Tim Woolcott Centre, adjacent to The Johannian Club. We invite all members of the St John’s community to visit the shop for purchases of school uniforms, sports apparel, school bags, tracksuits, memorabilia items and more.
Regulation navy school bags with a badge may be purchased at The School Shop.
