It is with deep sadness that St John’s College mourns the loss of one of its finest and most influential teachers, Mrs Sandy Frewen, who passed away on Monday, 29 June 2026.

The Peter Raney Cup honours the memory of Peter Raney, Head of Nash in 2011, and the values he lived by: sportsmanship, teamwork, commitment, dedication and integrity. This year we were proud to present the Cup to a young man who embodies everything Peter stood for.

St John's College and the Old Johannian Association are proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Golden Eagle Award, conferred on two deserving Old Johannians on Gaudy Day in recognition of the extraordinary impact they have made in South Africa and internationally.
