St John's College

The College said farewell to the matric class of 2019 and their parents at a moving Valedictory Mass in The Memorial Chapel.

The boys raised the Chapel roof one last time with their exceptional singing led by Dr Ben Oosthuizen and Mr Sidumo Nyamezele and accompanied by the St John's Choir while Mr Cameron Upchurch pulled out all the organ stops. There was not a dry eye as the boys moved out into Pelican Quad for their final warcry.

The evening ended with a formal dinner in the Rene England Auditorium where the boys concluded their school career by donning their Old Johannian ties and left the school as Old Johnnians.

We wish our young men all the best as they write their matric examinations and move out into the world to follow their dreams. Remember gentlemen, your blood will always be blue.
