St John's College

In our first episode of #TogetherApart, Claire Hock, Chair of Council, chats to us about the steps Council has taken since the lockdown of schools on 18 March and then introduces Prof Martin Veller, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Wits University, who addresses the St John's community about COVID-19 and the importance of returning to school.

Martin and Denise Veller have a long history with St John's. Their two sons, Marcus and Carl, matriculated from the College in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Martin is a previous Chairman of the Parents' Association and has been a member of the St John's College Council twice.

As a medical expert, a past parent and someone experienced in the intricacies of the school, Martin is uniquely placed to share his insights into the pandemic and its implications for our School.

We invite you to watch this informative presentation, the first in our series #TogetherApart. If you have any questions or feedback regarding our first episode, please email [email protected]
