The Academy Class of 2025 has achieved a 100% pass rate, with 90% of students achieving a Bachelor degree pass. The class achieved 22 distinctions and 44 B symbols. Top performers Jenovic Lumu and Ntando Mnyandu each earned three distinctions. Othiniel Baza achieved an impressive 75% in Further Studies Mathematics (IEB).

"These young men from Barnato Park High School and Highlands North Boys High School demonstrated strong commitment and resilience throughout their time in the programme," says Mickey Mashego, Head of the Academy. "What makes this achievement even more meaningful is seeing our partner schools reach new heights, both exceeding 90% Matric pass rates this year, up from 78% and 84% respectively in 2024. We celebrate this success as a community."

At the Academy Prize-Giving and Valedictory Service last year, Jenovic Lumu, who served as Head of Academy for 2025, was awarded the Sixth Form Scholarship. He has joined St John's Sixth Form to study his A Levels.

"The consistent efforts of our teaching staff, the dedication of our coaches, and the support of everyone involved make this programme possible," said Mr Mashego. "Every lesson, every training session, every moment of mentorship contributes to the development of these young men. We're extending the expertise and resources of St John's College beyond our campus. We are actively contributing to the academic rigour in our broader community, one student at a time."

The St John's College Academy provides academic support and holistic development to talented students from partner schools in the community.
