Community Mass on Burger Field
Easter Term always commences with the Community Mass, a special way to start the year at St John’s College. It’s a time when our entire community, students from Pre-Prep to Sixth Form, Old Johannians, Council members, staff, and parents, gathers on Burger Field beneath the magnificent northern facade of our school.
This year, on 22 January 2026, the Bishop-elect of Johannesburg, The Revd Canon Dr Sepadi Moruthane, celebrated the Mass and offered a special blessing for Mr Dale Jackson, 17th Executive Headmaster, and Ms Noluthando Nkuna, Pre-Preparatory Headmistress, as they begin their leadership at St John’s.
Always a wonderful way to start the academic year.
