The 125 Campaign was launched in 2019 with the intention of raising funds to advance the school’s strategic plans. Due to the interruption of Covid, the 125 Campaign had to take a back seat to the many urgent challenges the school faced during that period.
In 2023, the year of the College’s 125th birthday, we are officially relaunching the Beyond 125 Campaign with renewed energy and vision. The Beyond 125 Campaign will pick up where the 125 Campaign left off and continue for the next five years as we work towards our goal of raising R125 million.

We are incredibly proud of Mr Sidumo Nyamezele, Head of African Music at St John’s College and Music Director of Mzansi Youth Choir, who has earned the first-ever group golden buzzer award on America’s Got Talent!
It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Peter Herbert Lapping (Nash 1958/Sixth Form 1959). Peter was a School Prefect in Nash House during his time at St John’s College and the recipient of the prestigious Golden Eagle Award in 2009.
As St John's College celebrates its 125th year, we look forward to inviting our Old Johannian community back to St John's to reminisce and celebrate our shared love for this fine institution.
