St John's old boy brings astronauts home from space

St John's alumnus Pele Collins (OJ Clayton 2012) has successfully found a way to safely bring home astronauts - and recycle their spacecraft at the same time. The two years spent on a parachute system design, fully qualified for human spaceflight, was a huge success for the young South African engineer.

Welcome to our introduction to Music at St John's College where we present a series of short, individual performances by our students showcasing the different orchestral and contemporary instruments, including voice, that are available for study at St John's. A number of music scholarships are available to deserving students entering the College in 2022.

Preparing neonatal for a time of crisis

Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital was among the first of South Africa’s public hospitals to prepare itself to admit pregnant women with Covid-19, rewriting the neonatal rulebook in the process.
