“Art is too important not to share” – Romero Britto

Visual Art is designed to help students develop technical and conceptual skills, establish a foundation for critical thinking, and realise their creative potential.

History of Art, or visual culture studies, teaches you about great artists, sculptors and architects, how they saw the world around them and what techniques they used. We also focus on contemporary art, which is dynamic and exciting, and makes the reality of becoming an artist much more tangible.

“Students who study the arts are taught to see better, to envision, to persist, to be playful and learn from mistakes, to make critical judgements and justify such judgements.” Lois Hetland and Ellen Winner, Harvard Graduate School of Education
