This is the biggest boys’ school tournament in Southern Africa and an unmissable opportunity for brands looking to connect with this vibrant youth market and their families.
The annual UV Visual Arts Exhibition was a glittering evening that beautifully captured the theme of Truth and Fiction. Giant silver balls and shimmering decor made attendees feel like they had, like Alice, stepped through the looking glass into another world where reality and imagination intertwined.
The 2024 Upper V Speech Day at St John’s College brought together members of the Council of St John’s College, Roger Cameron, 15th Headmaster of St John’s, Lebogang Montjane, Executive Director of ISASA, honoured guest Mrs Jane Lane, Headmistress of the Pre-Prep, dedicated staff, proud parents, and, most importantly, the Matric class of 2024.
On 17 October, St John's College proudly unveiled the Beyond 125 Donor Wall at a glittering event in the Rene England Auditorium. Mr Stuart Stuart West, Executive Headmaster, described the wall as a "rich tapestry serving as a visual testament to the generosity of our incredible community, reminding us that every contribution makes a difference."
On Sunday, 6 October, on the eve of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu's 93rd birthday, hundreds of students, parents, teachers, church leaders, and head of school embarked on the annual Tutu Memorial Walk.
It is with deep sadness that the sudden passing of John Wilder, an exemplary Old Johannian, is recorded. The St John’s College Community has lost a stalwart advocate for the cohesion and communication of Old Johannians in the cause of a better world, particularly in the United States of America.

The 7th St John’s College Youth Speaking Festival took place on Saturday, 21 September, ahead of Heritage Day.
The Trinity term ended a season marked by long nights and crisp, cold mornings. It has been a busy and successful term for our students, and I invite you to join me in celebrating their achievements within these pages of College Life.
Habits of the Heart, founded by St John’s College in partnership with the Anglican Board of Education in Southern Africa, is set to return for its fourth year from 3 to 6 October.
