St John’s College has suffered a grave loss of a revered Johannian with the death of Hugh Henry Huggett, an education activist and throughout his life, a man who followed the principle of Ubuntu in his varied and memorable career and in all that he had done.
This latest edition of the Advancement Newsletter focuses on the first-ever St John’s College Giving Day, held over 36 hours from 9 to 10 November 2023. The results were truly remarkable, showing what can be achieved when a community of passionate supporters comes together with a united vision.
St John’s College welcomed Dr Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh (Nash 2006) as the special guest speaker at the 6th Hugh Lewin Human Rights Memorial Lecture on Tuesday, 26 March.
