The St John’s Community was very sad to learn of the passing of Mrs Dot Herold earlier this week and paid tribute to this truly special and remarkable former member of the Preparatory team.
At the Christian Passover every year, we celebrate our redemption through the events of the death and resurrection of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. The liturgies of the Christian Passover transport us through their liturgical focus, to three hallmark events relating to Our Lord’s Passion.
Today, the College paid tribute to the late Mr Simpson this morning, where we remembered Luke, our friend and colleague; Mr Simpson, the inspiring English teacher and Luke Simpson, the environmentalist.

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that St John’s College has learned of the passing of Old Johannian Vukosi Nkuna. Vukosi was Head of Thomson in 2015 and embraced every aspect of College life during his time at St John’s.
When I heard of Michael’s death I was shocked and deeply saddened. It felt to me that a very articulate, thoughtful and wise voice of good reason has been taken from us so abruptly, and far too soon. Where Michael was, there is now silence and a void.
