The St John’s College Academy matric gents celebrated the end of their time at St John's at a Valedictory Service in The Crypt Chapel.

St John's College thanked and recognised Mr Dru Gnodde (OJ, Thomson, 1946) as a benefactor and past Chairman of Council, and the Gnodde Family for their generous contribution to St John's over the years with the naming of The Gnodde Indoor Cricket Centre.
Professor Revil Mason is the recipient of this year’s Golden Eagle Award. Professor Mason is a renowned archaeologist whose most significant legacy is the unearthing of the history of Johannesburg, long before the discovery of gold, and making it easily accessible to those outside academia.
Since time immemorial, the St George flag has been flown from the College Clock Tower on Fridays. This morning, during a dignified ceremony observed by the College community, the St George flag was lowered for the last time.
Clayton House has embarked on a campaign over the past few weeks to encourage their young men to acknowledge and show appreciation for the members of staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes to improve our lives at the College, especially the unheralded support staff.
